Meek Mill will spend the next few months behind bars for violating his probation. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Meek was sentenced to three to six months in jail on Friday.

Prosecutors accused Meek of numerous violations, including refusing to keep the court updated on his touring schedule and ridiculing the prosecutor on social media.  The assistant district attorney also showed the judge a picture of the rapper holding what looked like a pistol.  However, the rapper's camp claimed it was a photo shoot prop.

Meek Mill had been on probation for gun and drug charges since 2009.  Once he serves his jail time, he will have to start the five year probation period over again.

Meantime, Meek Mill's Maybach Music Group boss, Rick Ross, is standing behind him.  In a statement to MTV News, Ross assured fans that Mill's upcoming Dreams Worth More Than Money album is still on its way.  The album is set to arrive on September 9th and Ross plans to "execute Meek's plan as close to schedule as possible."  Ross also urged fans and the media to continue to support Meek Mill through his time of need.
