BREAKING: Park Service says Obama Admin Ordered Closure of World War II Memorial

Twitter updates from those on-scene at the World War II Memorial state that a spokesperson for the National Park Service confirmed that orders to barricade and close the World War II Memorial came directly from the White House Office of Management & Budget.  Rangers that were furloughed due to the government shutdown have been "excepted from furlough" for the purpose of barricading and working at the WWII Memorial.  

The WWII Memorial is an open-air memorial that, under normal operation, has no on-site employees or rangers.  The barricades were allegedly put in place to ensure that aged WWII veterans could not visit the site during the government shutdown.
